Modern Kitchen Remodel in Tarzana
A full kitchen renovation for a San Fernando Valley family who wanted better workflow, durable surfaces, and an open connection to the dining area.
$55,000 – $75,000
8 weeks (after selections & permits)
Project description
The existing galley kitchen felt dark and closed off. We reworked the layout for a more efficient work triangle, upgraded electrical for modern appliances, and finished with soft-close cabinetry and quartz counters that stand up to daily family use.
Materials used
- Shaker-style cabinets
- Quartz countertops
- Porcelain tile backsplash
- Luxury vinyl plank flooring
- LED under-cabinet lighting
- Stainless appliances (owner-supplied)
Challenges & solutions
Plumbing had to shift for the island sink, which required careful sequencing and inspection timing. We protected adjacent rooms with dust barriers so the family could stay home during most of construction.
Results
A brighter, more functional kitchen with improved storage and a cleaner traffic flow into dining — completed on an agreed timeline with a clear walkthrough punch list.
